Get ahead as an IITP Mentee
If you're serious about career advancement and professional development, the IITP Mentoring Programme is for you.
People who are mentored almost invariably have a greater understanding of themselves and are in greater control of their own decisions, and consequently advance their own careers at a far faster rate than those that are not.
Mentoring gives you the tools to get ahead, and the IITP Mentoring Programme has been designed from the ground up to advance the career and development of ICT Professionals.

Help shape the future: Call for IITP Mentors
The IITP Mentoring Programme is the perfect opportunity to give back to the professional community whilst simultaneously helping progress your own professional career.
If you are passionate about the IT industry, have learnt a few lessons or two and are keen to help the development of a younger or less experienced individual in your profession, then we want to hear from you.
All Mentors will receive full training to help contribute to the development of others. Participating in this program is hugely rewarding.

The next training sessions, which includes the pairing of Mentors and Mentees, are scheduled for:
- Auckland: Early August 2012
- Wellington: Late August 2012
- Christchurch: Early September 2012
- Hamilton: Late September 2012
- Dunedin: Early October 2012
- Other areas: Following and as needed
Exact dates for the Training and Pairing Evening to be confirmed.
The programme is built around "professional development" or career-focused mentoring - helping Mentees set clear career goals and objectives, understand that they have the ability to achieve these, and put a plan in place to do so.
Mentoring relationships last for a 12 month period and are monitored and reviewed by IITP during the term.
